Your main focus is to make the process of restocking finished goods for the CDC more efficient by fostering a strong and proactive partnership with our suppliers.You will help us to meet our operational goals in safety, health, environment (SHE), quality, service, cost, and people but also to add a positive touch to our daily tasks, including the careful management of finished products destined for export.

Description

* You foster and actively maintain strong collaboration with both our suppliers and local factory to enhance the efficiency of the replenishment process.

* You proactively track the timely and complete availability of manufactured products in coordination with our local planning and production departments.

* You collaborate on both internal and external transport planning alongside our shipping department.

* You engage in collaborative efforts related to warehousing and loading activities with the warehouse department.

* You manage stock effectively, considering principles such as FIFO, aging, service level, and stock level.

* You administer the resolution of non-conformities, including returns to vendors and product destruction processes.

* You ensure compliance with all applicable legal regulations and international food safety standards, encompassing safety, working conditions, environment, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).

* You act as a backup for the material planner when necessary

Do you have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline?Would you like to develop your purchasing and negotiation skills?Then, this job is for you!Our multicultural Purchasing team, composed of 30 employees, located on the Braine-l'Alleud site, is currently looking for a Junior Buyer in the field of mechanical components to strengthen the team.The Commodity Purchasing team is responsible for supplier benchmarking, evaluation, requests for quotation and supplier selection activity, as well as negotiations for mass production parts prices, terms and conditions.What will you work on?Supported by senior buyers and Purchasing Manager:

  • Carry out market studies of candidate suppliers for specific categories of products in order to identify most suitable suppliers in term of Know-how, Quality , Delivery, Cost, Environnment
    • Benchmark European market to identify candidate suppliers
    • Utililise a Request for Information (RFI) process to understand suppliers’ capabilities
  • Manage Request for Quotation (RFQ) process with selected suppliers, analyse proposals, report analysis and make recommendations for supplier selection.
  • Prepare and negotiate cost and contract terms and conditions
  • Carry out negotiation and investigate opportunities of cost optimization in mass production
  • Participate in supplier evaluation of performance in mass production
  • Present analyses in stuctured way to explain conclusions and make recommendations to management to gain approval
